About Me
I am an video game Narrative Designer and Writer. I got my start in the game industry in 2012, when I partnered with musician Neutrino Effect to form [bracket]games. After several years with [bracket]games (and an IGF nomination), I moved on to larger, established teams including Larian and Wooga.
I’ve been a lifelong writer but I went to school for photography and anthropology, so I am largely self-taught. My experience spans the gamut of game development: design, programming, engines, 2D and 3D asset creation and animation, console porting, etc. I learned and honed all of these skills, but narrative design and writing have always been my primary focus. I started making games because I believe in the power of the medium to tell incredible narrative. In my work, I aim to harmonize the many moving parts of a game - interaction, movement, mechanics, characters, environment - to produce tight and immersive narratives that will stick with players long after they set down their controller.
